The Management Development Programme (MDP) is an integral part of NATO’s Accreditation Programme for Managers (APM), designed to create a framework of management excellence across NATO bodies. The MDP supports managers to develop the critical skills and competencies needed to perform their managerial responsibilities confidently and effectively, leading their teams through the reforms and transformations that deliver on the organisational priorities.

The MDP is focused not just on the skills and functions of a manager, but also on the further development of individuals as leaders. In order to meet current challenges, managers not only need to be exceptional in their managerial skillsets, they also need to be committed and able to inspire commitment and trust from their team, their colleagues and their Line Managers.

 

The MDP will;

• Provide managers with the skills and tools needed to navigate & lead their teams through change.

• Enable managers to empower their staff effectively to meet performance outcomes.

• Strengthen managers’ skills and competencies to confidently perform managerial responsibilities within the NATO context.

• Generate an ‘inclusive’ management culture that is more cohesive, consistent & accountable.

• Create understanding and trust among managers to build alliances, and develop and extend a self-sustaining network.
